1. Srinagar

• The district is a hub for dairy and the only area which is home to a large buffalo population producing some high quality diary products including ‘karadi’ cheese.

3. Pulwama

• Pulwama is a major apple producing area of valley and has been in forefront of cultivating high density apples.
• With a large presence in diary sector it is known as the ‘milk’ district of the valley.
