The earliest documented to cultivation of high quality apples by the ancestors of the present promoters can be found in the book The Vale of Kashmir by Walter Lawrence, Settlement Commissioner of the riyasat of Jammu & Kashmir in late nineteen century. With the massive increase in business a firm by the name of M/S Aziz Mir Ghulam Hassan was established in 1920’s which continued to operate till early 1960s. The apple crop in the pre partition period used to be transported from the various orchards located in South Kashmir to godowns at Rambagh, what was those days the outskirts of Srinagar city. It would then by transported to Rawalpindi on horse carts via the old Jhelum Valley road.

After partition the fruit was then forwarded to various fruit markets in mainland India like Delhi, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
